Life Is A Party!

Have you ever been invited to two different parties on one night? I have not had this problem recently (lol) though you might have. I know the college crowd probably has more than two choices. How do you choose? Do you go to the one where the majority of friends are? The most booze? The best food?

Right now you have two choices...knowledge or wickedness. Right or wrong? Love or hate? God or Satan? You have been invited by God to choose His ways, all of which are meant for good for you. And, you are continually invited by Satan to join his army against God. To choose evil, wrongdoing, and hate. God is having a party and so is Satan, but only you have can pick where you want to go?

This is not a "follow the crowd" kind of choice. Your choice is an individual decision because the faith of your friends (or parents) cannot and will not get you eternal life. Those who choose knowledge, the way of God, will gain life. Those who choose evil, Satan, will lose life. I don't make this up. See for yourself:

Proverbs Chapter 9:
Wisdom has built her house. She has hewn out her seven pillars. She has slaughtered her meat. She has mixed her wine. She also has furnished her table. She has sent out her maidens. She cries out from the highest places in the city. "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!" As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, "Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed. Forsake foolishness and live, and go in the way of understanding."
"He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, and he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you. Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will still be wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning."
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. And if you scoff, you will bear it alone."
A foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple and knows nothing. For she sits at the door of her house, on a seat by the highest places in the city to call out to those who pass by, who go straight on the their way. "Whoever is simple, let him turn here"; and as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, "Stolen water is sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant." Bud he does not know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of hell.

Both "parties" sound very similar, don't they? They both have food and drinks. The invitations even look alike. But what foolish people do not see is that Satan's party takes you straight to hell. The bread is stolen and the wine is tainted. The ones who have sought Knowledge and who desire Knowledge are the ones who end up with all the riches that this world could never offer. There is no price that can put on what you gain from choosing God.

Which party are you going to?
